It's all about what works for you.

When life seems like a daunting and overwhelming there are little things you can do everyday that can give you more peace of mind but you need to be intentional. 

Let's start at beginning...

The small successes

  • Apply Natural Deodorant daily as needed as part of your hygiene routine.
  • Use Hair & Body Buttercreme as needed to keep skin moisturized.

This step is very minimal for a reason. No need to overwhelm yourself, putting on deodorant and moisturizing your hair may be all you can manage at this time and that's ok. With the deodorant tackling odour protection and your skin moisturized it's one less task you have to manage. When you master this, let's move on up. 

Simple & Sophisticated

  • All of the above
  • Out with the old in with the new. Invest in our hair and body wash with mood boosting scents.
  • Light a candle if that's your jam and start to create either a morning or night routine that you are sure to stick to. Don't over do it, keep it simple when creating routines, you don't need both at this moment. You want to ensure that you will be consistent and consistency is build a little at a time.

Ok phew, now let's be more intentional.

  • But this time we are going to take notice of our emotions. Some of us are overly emotional and others need to cry a bit but either way we can choose aromas based on how we feel or how we want to feel. 

There are a few ways we can use aromas to uplift or effect our mood. Drinking tea, using essential oils, lighting candle...you get it, there are different selfcare tools but for this I am worthy step we are going to focus on body wash. You can read about all the amazing benefits of the product itself here, but we're here to focus on what we call mood boosting scents. When you choose a product do you choose it based on logic or based on feelings? For example if you are in need of energizing, you might want to pick something as brightening as citrus vs going with your favorite lavender scent. On the other hand, if you find yourself always overwhelmed or high strung you may want to invest in lavender even though you typically use fresh grapefruit.

Everything comes down to intentionality and the routine you want to build for yourself. You may already be showering at least once a day (or not we aren't judging) but make that time count. Once you've gotten comfortable choosing your mood aromas then we can move on to full bliss.

    So you've put on natural deodorant daily, used body butter to hydrate your skin, invested in an aroma based body wash and started creating a cool routine for yourself that you are maintaining, what could be next?

    Gratitude!

    Gratitude means : the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness:

    You have got to start showing appreciation for yourself. You can say it verbally, you can shower yourself in gifts to celebrate, either way gratitude pulls this selfcare guide together quite nicely. Because if you do all the above but you have no love for yourself, it's like your doing it in vein. Our favorite scripture says Gracious words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. This means that there is healing when you express words of kindness to yourself. Don't get frustrated if you fall off your routine, just begin again and be grateful you have breath in your lungs to keep trying. 

    Remember you got this, don't sweat the small stuff and begin to live a more peaceful and fulfilling life.
